Payroll Services Director

As a Payroll Services Director, you will lead the HR Process Operations team in NSW Government, providing payroll services to employees. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working with diverse stakeholders.
About the Role:You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of various payroll teams, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing. Your expertise in end-to-end payroll processes, including compliance with relevant NSW Government legislation, awards, and policy, will drive process improvements and contribute to major projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, mentor, and develop payroll teams to foster a collaborative culture.
- Implement process optimisation, automation, and system enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
- Communicate complex payroll matters clearly and confidently to internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively manage risks and ensure audit readiness and governance standards are met.
- Deep understanding of payroll legislation, superannuation, taxation, and reporting obligations.
- Skilled in SAP payroll system, leveraging technology to deliver insights and streamline operations.
- Experience leading payroll-related projects, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
