About the Role

The Dental Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Recreational Activities Officer to join our team. As a key member of our care home, you will be responsible for driving the energy, engagement, and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead activities for our residents that meet social and recreational needs while promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
  • Assess and document the effectiveness of programs, tracking residents' progress and making adjustments as needed.
  • Develop and implement mental health and wellbeing programs that empower residents' choices and independence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate is essential.
  • Previous experience in an aged or community care setting.
  • Highly developed organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes.
