The Australian Government Department of Defence seeks a seasoned professional to fill the Chapter Lead – Business Analysis role within its Digital Group. Role Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of experienced business analysts in driving strategic initiatives and improving domain knowledge through coaching, training, and performance assessments.
  • Contribute to workforce planning and allocation by providing input on demand, skills, experience, and individual learning objectives.
  • Promote continuous improvement of chapter-specific standards, guidelines, and artefacts by applying industry-standard frameworks to the Defence environment.
  • Model agile delivery and leadership behaviours to drive new ways of working within Defence Digital Group.
  • Serve as an expert member of project teams, guiding team members to capture business needs, evaluate solutions, and recommend changes to processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading business analysis activities with a strong technical background.
  • Excellent coaching and development skills, with a track record of growing professional and technical skills in individuals and teams.
  • Advanced communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills, including ability to manage competing priorities and initiatives.
  • Strong resource planning and allocation experience.
  • A passion for learning new professional and technical skills, with intellectual curiosity and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest thinking and approaches.
  • Experience in applying agile ways of working.

Compensation Package

We offer a highly competitive salary package, estimated at $AUD 120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will be entitled to access a range of benefits, including health insurance, superannuation, and flexible work arrangements.
