Disability Support Worker

Job Description:

The role of Disability Support Worker involves providing individualized support to a participant residing in the Ipswich QLD area.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities such as getting to and from day programs, personal care, meal preparation, household chores, and community involvement.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will work closely with the participant to develop a tailored support plan that meets their unique needs and goals.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to people with disabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Certificate 3 in Mental Health or Disability Support Services/Age Care
  • A minimum of 6 months' experience supporting people with disabilities
  • An Employment Working with Children's Check, or in the process of obtaining one
  • Experience in SIL & STA environments is an advantage
  • A car and driver's license
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain one
  • Two to three relevant, professional, and industry-related reference checks
  • A valid, or in the process of obtaining, First Aid (HLTAID003) and CPR (HLTAID001) certificate
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Willingness to travel to the Ipswich QLD Area
