Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team as a Learning Diversity Leader.
'Learning diversity' refers to the infinite variety of life experiences and attributes that learners bring with them to school.
Their age, gender, religion, socioeconomic background, cultural background, physical and emotional attributes and cognitive abilities can all influence the way they learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in identifying children who require additional learning support.
- Develop and implement individualised learning, behaviour and safety plans for students with diverse needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure the appropriate support and adjustments are in place to promote student success.
- Support the development of teacher knowledge around the creation of Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs) and Smart Goals.
- Ensure that, where appropriate and feasible, allied health recommendations are incorporated into programs and plans developed by teachers for children.
- Facilitate Program Support Group Meetings (PSGs) with families and allied health professionals to discuss learning adjustments, supports within the classroom space, goals and progress.
- Contribute to the development and review of school policies and assist with adherence to relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in inclusive education.
Requirements:
- Full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education is desirable
- Commitment to child safety and ongoing evaluation of best practices
- Flexibility to be available during Term Four for handover

- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to build authentic relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
- Implement strategies that foster a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for all students.
- Actively contribute as a member of the school leadership team, engaging in shared planning and professional dialogue to support whole-school improvement.
- Use student data to inform intervention and extension, contributing to data discussions with colleagues and communicating student progress with families.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills by effectively managing time, resources, and priorities to support diverse learners.
