Job Title: Specialised Carer

Our social clubs provide a welcoming environment where older people can take a break from home, connect with their community and enjoy the company of others.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver care within our Tallowwood Social Cottage in Carindale QLD
  2. Available shifts between Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm
  3. Provide socialisation and supervision, according to each client's care plan
  4. Organise activities and events for clients to enjoy, including outings and excursions for those living with dementia
  5. In some cases, you'll have the opportunity to provide care and supervision offsite, using a 12-Seater Bus (if available)
Requirements:
  • No formal qualification is required, but holding a Certificate III Individual Support is advantageous
  • Hold a current Working With Children Check clearance
  • Must be available to work on Mondays
  • Desirable: First Aid certificate, Empathy and compassion are essential. We can train you to do the job if you're willing to learn
  • Good administrative skills and computer literacy, including smartphone usage
  • A strong team player with confident communication skills, able to communicate changes in care and maintain confidentiality
  • Career progression with opportunities to progress to management level
  • First Aid Training and Certification provided
