House Companion Manager Position Overview

The House Companion Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of care and support services within a residential aged care facility.

  • Leading daily operations across multiple houses, ensuring customer needs are met with dignity and independence.
  • Developing and mentoring a team of companions to deliver high-quality care and support services.
  • Managing compliance with relevant regulatory standards and laws.
  • Collaborating on menu planning, rostering, household procurement, and family liaison.
  • Championing the organization's values and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of a team of companions, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver exceptional care and support services.
  • Care and Support Services: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and support services are delivered to residents.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and laws, identifying and mitigating risks that may impact the delivery of care and support services.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in a related field, with a track record of developing and mentoring teams.
  • Care and Support Experience: Extensive experience in delivering high-quality care and support services, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
