Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner Role

Providing high-quality service delivery to families experiencing conflict and unable to reach agreements about children or property is a critical aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accredited as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, with tertiary qualifications in law, psychology or social work;
  • Understanding of child inclusive mediation practice and knowledge of family law legislation;
  • Knowledge and understanding of community services relating to families experiencing relationship difficulties;
  • Understanding of child protection issues and ability to work independently as well as contribute to the functioning of the team;
  • Excellent communication, organisation and writing skills; computer literacy; meeting program-specific client targets.
