Job Title: Health and Safety Professional 

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Professional to join our team on a full-time basis at Perth Airport.

The successful candidate will assist with processes associated with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and be responsible for the coordination of rehabilitation and timely return to work of injured and/or ill employees at the local business unit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with workplace safety improvement plans and initiatives leading to improvements in safety performance.
  • Identifying, mitigating and investigating hazards/incidents and reporting in accordance with relevant health and safety Standards and Legislation.
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases and prompt reporting of hazards.
  • Providing prompt rehabilitation and return to work support for all work-related and non-work-related injuries.
  • Coordinating communication with any additional rehabilitation providers, insurers and business units.
  • Developing and maintaining return to work plans appropriate to an injured employee's capacity and available duties.
  • Understanding among line managers of Legislative obligations and the benefits of rehabilitating injured/ill employees.
  • Carrying out additional duties as may be reasonably requested by Senior Management.
 Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A formal qualification in a related field (desirable).
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Understanding of State applicable Health, Safety & Environment and Workers' compensation schemes (case management experience highly regarded).
  • Competent in documentation and records management using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • A current full driver's license.
