Salary
We offer a competitive salary package of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
About the Role
As a Senior Laboratory Scientist at Healius Ltd., you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our laboratory operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing manual and automated diagnostic testing to deliver accurate and timely results.
- Maintaining all equipment and operating it in line with established protocols to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Assisting with stock control, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed.
- Complying with records maintenance and recording of results in accordance with relevant protocols and accreditation requirements.
- Participating in routine and audit-related Quality Assurance activities to maintain our high standards of quality and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent degree.
- AIMS certification as a Medical Scientist if your degree was acquired overseas.
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge, expertise, and skills within the respective discipline.
- Sound knowledge of QC, QAP, and troubleshooting principles.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification.
- Strong time management, interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- An outstanding commitment to quality and excellence, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
- A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures.
