About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Scientific Officer to join our team at Healius Ltd. This is a dynamic and vibrant role that requires a high degree of independence and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual and automated diagnostic testing
  • Carry out routine procedures from specimen reception to result execution for pathological diagnosis, including specimen dissection
  • Assist with stock control and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure compliance with quality control protocols and maintain current scientific knowledge
  • Maintain equipment and operate it in accordance with established protocols
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to continuous improvement

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent qualification. AAIMS certification as a Medical Scientist is also required if your degree was acquired overseas. You will also need to demonstrate experience, knowledge, and skills within the medical laboratory science field.
