About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientific Officer to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing manual and automated diagnostic testing, including specimen dissection and result execution. You will also assist with stock control, maintain equipment, and participate in quality assurance activities.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent. You should also have AIMS certification as a Medical Scientist if your degree was acquired overseas. Additionally, you will need to have demonstrated experience, knowledge, expertise, and skills within the respective discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual and automated diagnostic testing
  • Assist with stock control
  • Maintain equipment and operating equipment in line with protocols
  • Participate in quality assurance activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and the development of new assays as required
