About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Scientific Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing manual and automated diagnostic testing, as well as assisting with stock control and maintaining equipment and operating equipment in line with protocols.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent
- AIMS certification as a Medical Scientist if your degree was acquired overseas
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge, expertise and skills within the respective discipline
- Sound knowledge of QC, QAP and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification
- Perform duties with a high degree of independence and with infrequent supervision
- An outstanding commitment to quality and excellence
- A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
- A positive attitude toward achieving outcomes and being a cohesive, contributing team member
- Strong time management, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment
- Self-initiative and problem-solving capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
