Tech Expert for Shell Energy Portal Platform

Job Title: Tech Expert for Shell Energy Portal PlatformWe are seeking an experienced Tech Expert to join our team in Brisbane or Melbourne. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the portal platform that underpins Shell Energy Australia's Retail Customer Portal and Internal Operations Portal.
Key Responsibilities:- Designing and implementing computer systems and networks to meet Shell Energy's requirements;
- Maintaining and troubleshooting systems to ensure optimal functionality;
- Ensuring system security through robust measures such as firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls;
- Training and supporting users on hardware, software, and systems;
- Documenting and reporting technical documentation and system performance issues;
- Staying updated with technology and adapting to new developments and best practices;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with organisational goals.
- Technical experience designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure and systems;
- Experience implementing and managing security measures to protect IT systems and data from cyber threats;
- Programming and scripting skills, including React, configuration management, and task orchestration;
- Cloud computing experience, including AWS and cloud service models;
- Automation and DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code;
- Project management skills, including planning, resource allocation, and risk management;
- Deep understanding of various technologies and programming languages, including software development, system architecture, network infrastructure, database management, and cloud computing;
- Understanding of business strategy and prioritisation to align demand with commercially sound outcomes;
- Familiarity with information security principles, including threat modelling, encryption techniques, identity and access management, and secure coding practices;
- Knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovations in the IT landscape.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
