We are seeking a Senior Commercial Advisor to provide commercial support and drive favourable commercial outcomes for our Australian and APAC Minerals OEM and Aftermarket business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support commercial contract negotiations, including coordinating commercial review within tender deadlines, supporting GM review of commercial terms, and obtaining required input/approvals from stakeholders & legal teams.
  • Oversee and review the execution and compliance to contracts, including reviewing and managing variation requests, change requests, directions, orders, and notices under contract terms.
  • Have knowledge on commercial best practices and be able to review and understand business risk and support business decisions.
  • Support the Regional Strategic Leadership team on commercial issues as and when they arise, such as warranties and delay.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and well-being in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

Job Requirements/Education and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience as advisor or manager.
  • Ability to read, analyse, and understand commercial ramifications of contract provisions/translate contract provisions for the business and manage exposure to deliver effective solutions.
  • Ability to draft legal contract amendments/clauses.
  • Good commercial sense as well as excellent contracting skills.
  • Effective communicator who can speak fluently in lay terms to a range of audiences about business priorities, risk, and challenges.
