
People Development Specialist

The primary objective of this position is to provide expert support and guidance to the project team. This entails assisting with routine people management activities, including HR support and workforce planning.
This role will involve collaborating closely with Construction Leads to review staff histograms, ensuring that necessary updates are made in a timely manner. Additionally, you will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the redeployment process for all staff and workforce, working in conjunction with Business Unit People Teams to identify opportunities.
The successful candidate will lead and support the annual Performance Review processes and Talent Mapping initiatives, contributing to the implementation of programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement, wellbeing, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
As part of this dynamic team, you will manage general people-related issues through end-to-end case management, ensuring seamless resolution and minimizing disruption to operations.
Key Requirements- A TAFE certificate in Human Resources, Industrial Relations/Employee Relations or a Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Psychology, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor role or similar, preferably within the construction industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of national and state regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of employment legislation.
- Experience in HR project work, leading initiatives or desired outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and social awareness, with proven stakeholder management experience.
