CHSP Funding Administrator

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a CHSP Funding Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) grant funding and service provision, as well as helping with our application for My Aged Care.

The objectives of the CHSP program include:

  1. Providing high-quality home support services at a low intensity on a short-term or ongoing basis, or higher intensity services delivered on a short-term or episodic basis to eligible individuals.
  2. Supporting eligible individuals through linking them to appropriate and sustainable housing, community care and other support services.
  3. Supporting eligible individuals through the delivery of planned respite activities which allow carers to take a break from their usual caring responsibilities.
  4. Contributing to the delivery of quality and safe-funded aged care services in Australia.

This role will involve working 1 day per week, with negotiable hours, both on-site and off-site. You will also be required to attend occasional meetings face-to-face in the Frankston/Cranbourne area, as well as making occasional onsite visits with our customers.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Investigating and applying for additional grant opportunities within the disability and aged care sectors.
  • Coordinating the provision of home maintenance services that assist clients in maintaining their home in a safe and habitable condition.
  • Maintaining all financial recordings, including performance reports, tax invoices, and compliance under the grant.
  • Collating and reporting on wellness and reablement reports by the applicable due date.
  • All other reports as requested by the Commonwealth.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, TIG staff and others to ensure holistic care and support.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Police Check.
  • Working with Children's Check.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Worker Orientation Module.
  • Worker NDIS Induction Module.

You will also require:

  • Proven or lived experience with disability.
  • Certificate III or IV qualifications in Aged Care, Disability, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of disability support principles, policies, and practices.
