Project Engineer Leader

This is a challenging position that requires leadership and engineering skills to deliver project outcomes. As a senior project engineer, you will provide effective engineering capability to achieve completion of contracted works in accordance with client requirements and project plans.

The successful candidate will oversee the completion of project tracking, reporting, and controls to a quality and timely standard. You will work individually and in a team environment to deliver exceptional outcomes, while maintaining a safe and productive culture and having a positive impact on the community in which we operate.

This role may require travel to various project sites to support the successful delivery of projects and company goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Current Queensland Open Drivers Licence
  • General Construction Induction (white card/blue card)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience at a senior level in civil engineering and construction
  • Strong knowledge of the civil construction standards, including legislation, and associated practices
  • Experience in managing and applying project management principles in implementing a client program
  • Experience in managing project commercials
  • Able to liaise, mediate, and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing and providing guidance to a team
  • Competent in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Experience in a civil-based business
  • Able to develop, implement, and evaluate high-quality programs
  • High-level critical analysis and reporting skills
