Project Engineering Role

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced project engineer to lead our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and reviewing design work.

  • Plan and conduct independent scopes of work and technical specifications for Civil/Structural design and field investigations on large-size projects or assignments.
  • Lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of Civil/Structural components and processes utilizing relevant engineering procedures and standards.
  • Review and approve key design documents, supplier drawings, and data, material specifications, drawings, change orders, and bid summaries for the project to which assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete to ensure appropriate materials are used based on load or stress requirements.
  • Conduct thorough analyses and evaluations to identify potential issues and risks associated with project design and execution.
  • Develop and implement solutions to address these issues and mitigate risks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with minerals handling process plant design, specifically slurry pumping and handling, conveyor, chute, tank sizing, and selection calculations.
  • Experience with Bid Evaluate Award processes, specifically equipment datasheet, specification, material requisition, and technical bid evaluation of vendor equipment.
