At The Salvation Army Australia, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Homeless Service Support Specialist to join our team. Based in Surry Hills, NSW, this permanent, part-time position (37.25 hours per week) offers a salary package of $67,000 - $72,000 per year.

About the Role

We require an individual with a Cert IV in Community Services who can provide person-centred support to clients experiencing homelessness. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside our Case Management Team to identify and respond to client needs, build living skills, and create a safe space for those seeking assistance.

This role involves working with vulnerable individuals, providing emotional support, and connecting them with local services. You will also be responsible for completing incident reports, participating in ongoing professional development, and identifying service gaps and risks.

  • Minimum Cert IV in Community Services
  • A current NSW Employee Working with Children Check
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A NSW Driver Licence (desirable)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Trauma Informed Care Framework (desirable)
