About the Role

As a Youth Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing professional and consistent support to young people who are homeless or at risk of experiencing homelessness. You will work closely with our team to deliver safe and nurturing environments for residents, while also assisting them to manage their individual and shared living spaces.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive intake and risk assessments for all young people
  • Maintaining accurate record keeping that meets legislative standards
  • Completing orientation for new residents on the expectations of living at Oasis Youth Services Crisis accommodation
  • Supporting the living skills program and running group work sessions

You will have a tertiary qualification in social sciences, welfare, or a related field, with a degree qualification preferred. Relevant experience in a social service environment is also essential. A current and valid NSW Working with Children Check, as well as a current NSW Drivers licence, are required.

You will also have knowledge of youth homelessness, crisis intervention, and the ability to collaborate with other program areas. Demonstrated capacity to build effective relationships with clients, assess complex support needs, and time manage within a crisis setting is crucial.
