The Occupational Therapist will work in a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients. They will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and evaluating client progress.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. They will also have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, with the ability to apply them in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical and mental abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote client independence and well-being
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients
- Evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in occupational therapy
- Registration as an occupational therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
- Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
