Occupational Therapist

This position will provide Occupational Therapy services to patients in the Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit, which offers hospital-based specialist geriatric rehabilitation services. The Occupational Therapist will be a member of the Division of Rehabilitation, Aged Care, and Palliative Care.
Key Responsibilities- Providing clinical Occupational Therapy services to maximise occupational outcomes for inpatients in the GEM Unit
- Contributing to an integrated team approach and culture that is responsive to consumer needs
- Communicating with clients, family, carers, and other service providers
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A degree or equivalent qualification that entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
- Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for the provision of clinical Occupational Therapy services in an interdisciplinary team
- Clinical experience in providing Occupational Therapy services to patients with a range of disorders and disabilities, particularly those with dementia and/or cognitive impairment
- High levels of responsibility and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, delegate appropriately, and supervise allied health assistants
