About the Role

The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct microbiological and biochemical testing, analyse data with precision, and contribute to advancing research and product development initiatives.

This involves performing varied tests, working effectively with senior team members, generating work instructions, and ensuring laboratory practices meet the highest quality and compliance standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct microbiological and biochemical tests, accurately analyse experimental data, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with senior team members with minimal supervision.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Work Instructions (WIs) and Standard Test Methods (STMs).
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff in scientific techniques and quality procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of experimental details using Electronic Lab Books.
  • Identify and troubleshoot out-of-specification or trending results under senior guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO13485 and GLP requirements.
  • Support procurement and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Collaboration and Teamwork

The selected candidate will work closely with internal teams, including Bioscience, Research and Product Development, Verification and Validation, Clinical Affairs, Quality, Production, and Facilities. This role also involves engagement with external service providers and contract laboratories.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related Biological Science discipline.
  • 1-3 years in a relevant laboratory environment.
Key Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong aseptic microbiological techniques.
  • Able to work independently and show initiative.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word essential).
