About the Role

The Head of Sports Science and Performance is a key leadership position at The Scots College, responsible for overseeing the physical testing, data analysis, and training program design for the college's sports teams. This role requires a strong understanding of sports science and analytics, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing sports science and analytics programs to support the college's sports teams;
  2. Leading a team of sports scientists and analysts to collect and analyze data on athlete performance;
  3. Designing and implementing training programs to improve athlete performance;
  4. Collaborating with coaches and other stakeholders to develop and implement sports strategies;
  5. Providing data-driven insights to inform sports decision-making;
  6. Managing resources and budgets to support sports programs;
  7. Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have:

  1. A strong background in sports science and analytics;
  2. Excellent leadership and communication skills;
  3. Experience in managing teams and budgets;
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks;
  6. Strong understanding of sports strategy and tactics;
  7. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
