Art Centre Manager Role

This role encompasses supporting the delivery of high-quality arts and cultural programming. The successful applicant will oversee all aspects of art centre operations, reporting directly to a community development advisor.

The manager ensures strategic and sustainable growth by maintaining and developing relationships within various sectors, including the cultural, arts, tourism, Indigenous, and economic development industries.

Main responsibilities include day-to-day administration, financial management, funding, marketing, sales, and delivering arts and cultural services.

To succeed in this position, the candidate must have the ability to work in a cross-cultural environment with previous experience in a similar role highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with First Nations people and diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the First Nations arts sector.
  • Experience working with remote First Nations communities.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage projects, governance, administration, and management of a not-for-profit organisation.
  • Administrative and organisational skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
