At JB Hi-Fi, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to lead our data-driven culture and drive actionable outcomes. As a key member of our Data and Analytics team, you'll partner with IT and business users across both JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guys to develop and implement data strategies that inform insights and support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytical requirements on complex tasks
  • Analyse complex information and data to generate insights and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Lead continuous improvement activities, focusing on the data lifecycle, data visualization, and reporting principles
  • Guide and mentor peers in all aspects of the team function, supporting the development and growth of the team, self, processes, and technology
  • Contribute to delivering data literacy throughout the business, enabling business users to read and work with data to build knowledge and drive outcomes

Requirements:

  • Tertiary-level qualification in IT, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a relevant field
  • Strong experience in developing data visualizations and paginated reporting solutions in Power BI
  • Proven experience designing and developing code that leverages structured or unstructured data from multiple sources using SQL languages
  • R and Python experience would be advantageous
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and preparing data governance artifacts, along with strong stakeholder engagement and leadership
