About this role:


We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Senior Analyst to join our team at Cuscal. As a Data Governance Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting Data Stewards and Data Custodians in the Product Domains and Corporate Functions to comply with Cuscal's Data Management Policy and adopting the Critical Data Elements (CDEs) Standard.



Key Responsibilities:

Data Governance Support:

  • Provide support to Data Stewards and Data Custodians in the Product Domains and Corporate Functions to ensure compliance with Cuscal's Data Management Policy.
  • Work closely with the Data Governance Manager to ensure data risks are effectively identified, assessed, managed, and monitored across Cuscal.


Data Risk Management:

  • Execute the Data and Data Risk Management Roadmap, Work Plan to implement data management principles.
  • Embed risk practices and mindset by collaborating with product domains and corporate functions to embed data risk management principles and minimum requirements into day-to-day business activities.
  • Prepare regular updates for review highlighting key risk areas and recommendations for the Data Governance Committee (DGC), Technology Risk Committee, Enterprise Risk Committee.


Operationalise the Data Operating Model:

  • Act as a change champion and SME for Data Owners and Data Stewards.
  • Support the rollout and adoption of the Data Governance Tool to product domains and corporate functions.
  • Review the Data Governance questionnaire as part of Vendor Risk Assessment to ensure all risks related to procuring a new tool/solution and or introduction of new features in existing tool/solution are appropriately assessed and mitigated.


Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in data risk management and data governance.
  • Strong knowledge of data capability management frameworks such as DAMA/EDM's Data Management Capability Assessment Model and APRA Prudential requirements (CPS234, CPG235, CPS230, CPS220, etc.).
  • Experience working across the Three Line of Defence Model in data risk management.


Desirable:

  • Proven change leader experience, establishing, embedding, and uplifting data risk management maturity and practices within a function, risk class, or organisation.
  • Experience using Alation Data Governance Catalogue and or equivalent tools such as Collibra.
