We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Claims professional to join our dynamic team as a Senior Claims Manager.

Job Description

As a Senior Claims Manager, you will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of workers compensation claims to achieve the optimum outcome of early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs.

You will collaborate with medical professionals, employers, brokers, rehab providers and other stakeholders to create an effective Return to Work strategy. Your role will also involve assisting the worker and employer with the claim process, providing support, managing expectations and ensuring timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery.

Additionally, you will assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policies while undertaking ongoing reviews in relation to entitlements and payments. You will also respond to escalations and provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the team.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing claims within the New Zealand Accident Compensation Scheme is mandatory.
  • Currently residing in New Zealand to be eligible for relocation bonus.
  • An empathetic, resilient, and motivational approach to provide customer centric support.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Careful consideration to detail with a high concern for accuracy to manage stakeholder engagement.
  • A team player who likes to work collaboratively and can also work independently.
