Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a multi-disciplinary pool of technical staff
  • Ensure consistent planning and reporting across the portfolio

  • Monitor project health and implement corrective actions
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders
  • Lead by example and provide guidance to junior staff members
  • Establish strong relationships with peers and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with external experts as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Australian Defence Industry
  • Proven track record in leading design development programs
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within an accredited Quality Management System environment
  • Broad experience in designer roles within design development teams
