A strategic healthcare leader is required to oversee the development of a regional primary care service in Northern Australia. This key role will focus on delivering high-quality healthcare services to rural and remote communities.
About The RoleThis position plays a vital part in the leadership team, responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive healthcare strategies. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with various stakeholders, including local communities and external partners.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement healthcare delivery systems and lead a multidisciplinary team.
- Design and establish clinical care frameworks and workforce management systems.
- Provide expert medical advice and facilitate linkages between healthcare providers for optimal care coordination.
- Drive quality and safety initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support the professional development of clinical staff and enhance their skills and competencies.
- Optimise Medicare billings and referral pathways to improve service access and revenue.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and comply with registration requirements.
- Promote a culturally safe environment that respects and supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' health and wellbeing.
