About the Role

The Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled Research and Policy Support Officer to join our team in Parramatta. As a key member of our External Relations Policy team, you will be responsible for undertaking research and analysis to support the effective operation of our policy.

You will liaise and consult with other areas of the department and a range of external stakeholders to seek and provide information and advice. Your excellent communication skills and ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be essential in this role.

The ideal candidate will have a degree from a higher education institution and demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education. You will also have experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders and managing large amounts of correspondence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake research and analysis to support the effective operation of External Relations Policy
  • Liaise and consult with other areas of the department and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage large amounts of correspondence
