Design Manager Job Description

This role is for a talented and experienced Design Manager to lead the design process across multiple complex commercial projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire design lifecycle, from conceptualization to delivery. They will coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, consultants, and internal project teams, to ensure design outcomes meet quality, budget, program, and sustainability objectives.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Design Manager for a builder.
  • Experience in functional briefs, consultant scopes, and engagements.
  • A track record on projects over $50M.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and ACONEX.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
