Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Design Manager to lead the design process for various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture and construction, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design process, ensuring adherence to project requirements, timelines, and budgets.">
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and finalize design plans, specifications, and construction documents.">
  • Review architectural drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with building codes and regulations.">
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, identify design-related issues, and provide necessary guidance and solutions.">
  • Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to address design changes, modifications, and value engineering opportunities.">
  • Assist in the selection and procurement of materials, finishes, and fixtures that align with project specifications, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.">
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of design decisions, approvals, and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.">
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in architecture and construction.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.">
  • 3-5 years of post-graduate experience working on construction projects, preferably in the commercial or industrial sector.">
  • Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, and construction processes.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams.">
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in design coordination.">
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.">
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus.">
