Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to coordinate our sports camps in Western Canada and Ontario. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team, develop your skills, and make a difference in the lives of young people with type 1 diabetes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate camp logistics, including venue selection, equipment rental, and staff management
  • Develop and implement engaging programs for campers, focusing on physical activity, education, and empowerment
  • Work closely with the ICD team to ensure seamless event execution
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including camper registrations, waivers, and evaluation feedback
  • Provide exceptional customer service to campers, parents, and staff

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g., kinesiology, education, or a related field)
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role or relevant field (e.g., summer camp, youth program coordination)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • First aid certification and ability to lift up to 50lbs

Location:

The Ontario Coordinator will work at various locations in Toronto, Barrie, Mississauga, Hamilton, and Niagara, while the Western Sports Camp Coordinator will work at locations in Saskatoon, Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton.

Travel and Accommodations:

Flights and shared accommodations will be provided as needed, with transportation to and from airports covered by ICD.
