Sports Camp Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to lead our Sports Camps. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with youth and has experience in event planning, risk management, and team supervision.

• Develop and implement program details, timelines, and planning for on-site logistics
• Work directly with the team to prioritize initiatives and target regions
• Develop gear requirements, equipment lists, and activity schedules
• Collaborate with regional contacts to develop and achieve local objectives

The Coordinator will primarily work on our Sports Camps, which focus on youth with type one diabetes. Our camps enable participants to learn about health and management strategies while practicing surrounded by knowledgeable mentors.

• Plan and lead camp-wide activities daily
• Cover counsellor breaks and set the culture and tone of camp for staff and campers
• Maintain accurate and complete files, including registration, waivers, and surveys
• Assist with post-event follow-up evaluation, including participant surveys and filing

The ideal candidate will have strong project- and risk-management skills, as well as the ability to work as a member of a team and supervise/facilitate diabetes management tasks.

Camp programming runs from 9am-4pm. Work hours are 8:30am-4:30pm. The Coordinator must be able to run, jump, swim, and participate joyfully in other physical activities alongside campers.
