About Our Sports Camp Coordinator Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Sports Camp Coordinator. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team to deliver engaging sports camps for youth with type 1 diabetes.

As a Sports Camp Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the camp, including program development, logistics, and participant supervision. You will also have the opportunity to develop and lead sports activities, workshops, and educational sessions that promote physical activity, healthy living, and diabetes management.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all aspects of the sports camp, including program development, logistics, and participant supervision.
  • Develop and lead sports activities, workshops, and educational sessions that promote physical activity, healthy living, and diabetes management.
  • Work collaboratively with the program team to ensure seamless delivery of the sports camp.
  • Supervise and support participants with type 1 diabetes, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, staff, and volunteers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., kinesiology, education, recreation).
  • Experience working with youth with type 1 diabetes or other chronic conditions.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • First aid certification and vulnerable sector check required.
