About the Role

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Officer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding the credibility of the work carried out by the Serious Incident Response Assessment (SIRA) Team, ensuring that the SIRA Quality Management Framework, governance, and internal control processes are working effectively and in accordance with the Commission-wide quality framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of a quality audit framework that delivers a comprehensive program of audits, reviews, internal tools, and templates to ensure high-quality outcomes in accordance with internal processes and relevant legislation.
  • Conduct internal quality sampling activities, including desk-based reviews of sampled operations team assessments and regulatory decisions.
  • Provide timely, specific, and meaningful feedback that promotes quality and/or consistency improvements.
  • Collect and analyze findings and trended issues from quality sampling, prepare sampling outcome reports that include improvement action recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of relevant quality assurance or quality sampling tools, guidance, and procedures.
  • Oversee a team of officers conducting audits, including the management and review of all reports.
  • Apply strong communication and interpersonal skills and work constructively within a core team and with key internal stakeholders to promote continuous improvements.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $92,970 - $104,883 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • 15.4% superannuation.
  • Ongoing/Non-Ongoing roles available, with Non-Ongoing roles offered for an initial period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of one extension up to an additional 12 months.
