The Technical Calibration Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory equipment, including NIR and FTIR instruments, at our Wynyard site in Northern Tasmania.
This role contributes to the development and maintenance of our Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with regulatory and food safety requirements, and corporate guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the food safety and quality status of the site.
- Monitor and report on plant compliance with relevant regulations, food safety, quality, and customer standards.
- Implement, maintain, and improve the effectiveness of the food safety and quality system.
- Ensure the sites' NIR and FTIR instruments are calibrated and maintained.
- Support site sample registration and testing/sampling regimes.
- Complete detailed and data-driven risk analysis.
About You
We are looking for candidates with strong backgrounds in quality and food safety, ideally within a similar food manufacturing background. Experience with NIR and FTIR instruments is highly regarded, but not essential.
You can also demonstrate:
- Experience in a similar role.
- A good understanding of food safety principles and quality control methods and processes.
- A detail-oriented mindset with exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
