Environmental and Safety Management Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental and Safety Management Specialist to join our team in Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a proactive safety culture throughout our operations.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in identifying business HSEQ system needs and architecture, as well as experience developing and implementing HSEQ systems. They will also have applied knowledge of QHSE Management Systems and quality tools, and a consultative approach to partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and support project leaders and senior management in understanding and implementing HSEQ requirements comprehensively.
- Manage and enhance in-house HSEQ systems.
- Assist in the implementation and oversight of the Global HSE Management System (GHSEMS) and BlueBook standards.
- Conduct regular HSE audits for projects and office environments, supporting the business to address findings and manage corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Ensure ongoing accreditation to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Serve as an ambassador for our values, promoting best practices in HSE.
