Establish a robust site management framework for Health, Safety & Environmental activities in our Canberra office.

About the Role

This permanent position involves working as a Specialist Safety Advisor to drive and facilitate project management of Health, Safety & Environmental duties.

  • Provide expert safety guidance to project leaders and site supervisors/workers.
  • Mentor and coach personnel on HE&E responsibilities.
  • Analyze data via lag indicators (audits & incidents) to identify trends and influence project safety approaches.
  • Support the implementation of safety initiatives and new technologies to enhance company culture and performance using HammerTech.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated practical construction-related safety coordination/management experience and knowledge.
  • WHS industry-relevant qualifications and certificates.
  • Collaborative communication skills consistent with effective consultation, influencing, and relationship building.
  • Competent computer and system skills - HammerTech training provided.
  • Experience working on multiple new-build construction projects from start to finish.
  • Australian construction experience - New build construction experience is a must.
  • Must have worked for a Tier 1, 2, or 3 Builder and have worked on commercial projects over $20 million.
