Fire Safety Officer
">This role is a vital part of our Building Certification team, where you will contribute to the delivery of growth in the local government area through professional development & certification assessment.
">We are looking for an experienced and skilled Fire Safety Officer to join our team. As a Fire Safety Officer, you will be responsible for assessing applications for Class 1b & 2-9 buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and codes.
">The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building surveying, with a proven track record of effective written and oral communication, as well as a high level of customer service skills.
">In addition to your technical expertise, you will also need to have excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
">As a Fire Safety Officer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from assessing building plans to conducting site inspections.
">You will be required to maintain accurate records and reports, and provide clear and concise information to stakeholders.

">Please note that this role requires a full working knowledge of the National Construction Code – Building Code of Australia, as well as 3 years of relevant practical experience in assessing applications for Class 1b & 2-9 buildings.
">Essential qualifications include an Advanced Diploma, Associate Diploma or Tertiary qualifications as a Building Surveyor with a training institution listed in Schedule 2 – Qualifications and experience of the NSW Building and Development Certifiers Regulation 2020.
">Registered with the NSW Office of Fair Trading as a Building Surveyor – all classes of buildings (unrestricted) with experience in Class 1b and 2-9 building assessment is also required.
