
Multidisciplinary Child Safety Specialist

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our multidisciplinary team as Caseworkers in the Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP). Our Caseworkers work closely with vulnerable children, young people, and their families to assess safety and risk concerns.
The successful candidates will be highly skilled in assessment, communication, and problem-solving, with a strong focus on building positive working relationships. They will also have excellent analytical skills, including the ability to source timely and accurate information, make evidence-based decisions, and develop comprehensive client records.

Key Responsibilities- Undertake thorough assessments to identify and address safety and risk concerns for children and young people within the JCPRP model.
- Engage in collaborative practice that acknowledges and respects the culture and context of each child, young person, and their carers/family.
- Source timely, accurate, and comprehensive information to inform decision-making and ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including partner agencies and community organizations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practice and emerging trends in child protection.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in statutory child protection services or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- A valid driver's license and a paid Working with Children clearance number.
- An undergraduate degree in Social Work, Social Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
