We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Pre-Natal Child Protection Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for working with families to identify and address safety concerns, developing strategies to mitigate risk factors, and collaborating with other agencies to provide support and services.

  • You will work closely with parents, family members, and children to develop safety plans, conduct risk assessments, and provide emotional support.
  • Travel across the New England District may be required to provide support and services to families.
  • Collaboration with NSW Health staff, including Pregnancy Family Conference facilitators, birthing hospital staff, and hospital social workers, is essential.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, Welfare, or a related discipline
  • Experience working in child protection assessment and case planning
  • A valid driver's licence
  • A paid Working with Children clearance number
