Job Role: Health Service Coordinator

This is a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring patients have a positive experience. You will work closely with a diverse group of health professionals to deliver excellent patient care.

The successful candidate will be confident, competent, and take pride in their work. They must be able to work individually and as part of a team, thrive in a high-learning environment, and demonstrate a high level of maturity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diary management for all practitioners
  • Booking, rescheduling, and payments with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confirming appointments in a timely, friendly, and helpful manner
  • Knowledgeable about service offerings, products, and fees
  • Friendly, welcoming, and helpful disposition to patients, referrers, and staff
  • Assisting senior administration and management as required
  • Sound understanding and efficient coordination of Medicare claims, DVA, Workcover, NDIS, and other third-party claims
  • Multitasking and prioritizing workflow
  • Performance of ad hoc reception duties and assistance for practitioners as required
  • Possibly handling event coordination, both internally and externally
  • Managing office supplies, deliveries, daily mail, banking duties, and clinic room preparation

Requirements:

  • Experience in allied health or medical reception preferred
  • Excellent customer service and professional manner
  • Experience with practice management software systems
  • Knowledge of Workcover, NDIS, DVA, medicare, and health funds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF creator forms
  • Highly organized and excellent time management
  • Friendly, positive, and can-do attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail
