Corporate Legal Advisor

This position requires a skilled Corporate Legal Advisor to provide expert legal advice and support to our organization's businesses.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough reviews of marketing materials to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
- Provide high-level corporate legal, commercial, and governance advice to all business units.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Offer expertise on insurance products and documentation to support business growth.
- Interpret statutes and provide advice on legislative reforms impacting our business operations.
- Support corporate litigation matters as needed.
- Offer guidance on complaints and potential disputes, including those at AFCA.
- Deliver staff training on legal matters.
- Hold tertiary qualifications (LLB or equivalent).
- Hold a current NSW (or other Australian State) Legal Practitioner Practising Certificate – mandatory.
- Have minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in a mid or top-tier firm.
- Have private practice experience providing commercial legal advice.
- Previous experience working in an insurance and/or Australian financial services environment is beneficial.
- Display a pragmatic and commercial focus, including understanding of the general insurance market.
- Possess highly developed stakeholder and people management skills.
- Demonstrate high-level written and spoken language skills.
- Understand the commercial environment of the general insurance market.
