Job Description

This role involves providing expert legal advice on franchising laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory obligations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance on franchising laws and regulations to ensure Bendigo Bank meets its franchise agreement obligations.
  • Develop and implement governance, compliance, risk, and regulatory strategies for the Franchise Model, including ACCC, ASIC, APRA, and AFCA requirements.
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in Corporations Law, Franchising Code of Conduct, and other relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience within Banking, Finance, Franchising, regulatory, or compliance sectors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of company structures, banking practices, and associated regulatory bodies.
  • Qualified Lawyer with 7-10+ years PQE and strong negotiation, leadership, and influencing skills.
