Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team at Icon Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-volume oncology and haematology clinical trial unit, with access to leading technology.

About the Role

This 12-month part-time contract involves working 4 days a week with our collaborative research team based at the Icon Cancer Centres in Sydney and Gosford. The successful candidate will be expected to travel between sites and will receive a travel allowance.

You will be responsible for providing high-level support to Icon Principal Investigators in the conduct and day-to-day management of clinical trials. This includes managing and conducting the clinical trial portfolio, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice, the NHMRC National Statement, and Icon policies.

  • Provide high level support to Icon Principal Investigators in the conduct and day to day management of clinical trials.
  • Manage and conduct the clinical trial portfolio including the trial coordination, recruitment, participant and team member education and communication.
  • Ensure that clinical research carried out within Icon is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice, the NHMRC National Statement and Icon policies.
  • Contribute to the financial management of the business unit to ensure that trial participants are tracked and patient payment data is submitted in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate effectively with trial participants to ensure that trial related procedures are booked appropriately and compliance to attendance for trial visits is maintained.
  • Actively attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
About You

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual with relevant research experience. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, combined with the ability to influence people and analyse data.

The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage your workflow and build rapport with various stakeholders through strong effective communication. If you are a medical oncology or haematology nurse or pharmacist, or have a bachelor's degree in a relevant health science field with relevant research coordination experience, we encourage you to apply.
