High Value Claims Professional

A seasoned claims professional is required to manage a portfolio of high-value and complex Specialty claims, including professional indemnity, injury, and property liability. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end claim management across class actions, cluster claims, and high-value exposures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve claims strategically, providing expert advice on policy interpretation, litigation, and resolution
- Collaborate with internal legal teams, panel firms, and counsel to navigate complex legal issues
- Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings as required
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance (mandatory)
- Industry-recognized qualifications such as Diploma in Financial Services (mandatory)
- 5–10 years' experience managing complex liability or professional indemnity claims
- Litigation experience, including briefing panel firms or direct involvement (mandatory)
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Experience mentoring and developing team members
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and claims systems
Becoming a Key Player:
- Promote alignment of claims strategies across internal stakeholders
- Contribute to process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
