Claims Manager Opportunity
This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to manage member claims and investigations, providing guidance, advice, and support in the indemnification of claims.
The key responsibilities include:
- Managing member claims and investigations;
- Providing expert guidance and support to members in navigating complex legal issues;
- Formulating a claims management strategy for each member, to achieve the best possible outcome;
- Collaborating with solicitors to provide support for members' claims as required;
- Contributing to the development of claims services, including special projects, writing articles and presentations;
- Participating in the provision of medico-legal advice via a hotline.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in law or health;
- Solicitors with a valid practising certificate will be highly regarded;
- Previous experience in insurance claims management;
- A strong understanding of current health and insurance legislation;
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills;
- Proven ability to work in an electronic document management system;
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
